One Flower Wednesday

Count on me for been late I had three day at the reteate to completed just one hexie.  This is one of the first retreat that I have ever been to not know what it is like,but it sure was an eye opener,with all the ladies who attended they were ready to sew and I mean sew they had boxes of material cut,just somethig to think about for the next time.  So here is my hexie for the week,still adding the white borders, learned theis weekend that the red had come in to the shop so I will be adding the red borders soon.  You all have a great week happy quilting jinnie

One Flower Wednesday

Hello hope everone is well here in Northern Illinois we are having a heat wave and my flowers are blooming.

One of the flowers this Wednesday has bloom twice in the last 3 weeks.  I'm still on the mend had some set back but all is coming along, tomorrow My local quilt shop is have a 4 day retreat  will begoing donw on Friday for a while.  Your all have a great week and happy quilting  jinnie

One Flower Wednesday

Hello everyone I'm back it has been a long 4 weeks,and every day it gets better still a long ways to go.  This might be to much for some people,but this is why I been miss in action.  I had  surgery on Jan. 31 2012.   Ok enough of this on with one flower so with out further delay this is my flower for today

Here is a little color for spring, I know it is just aroung the corner,yesterday I saw a Robin  my yard and My floweres are coming up.

Then there are these I did one once a day trying to something on the to pass the time.

Building houses from scrap

I did it. I did it happy dance this is the second house that I make,this one is larger the the first one.  Like the one below,my friend Danette had the little house enlarged, and this is what it looks like.

This is the original pattern so know I can say I did 2 for this month.

One flower Wednesday

It's done this flower took 1 week to finish,just too much around here to get done for next week.  I will not be posting next week.  I'm planing on doing some hand work while I'm in the hospital.  It's time to have my left knee replaced.  The hospital doesn't like for you to bring anything in that might get stolen so I will leave my lap top at home.  Everyone have a great week and I will be back soon.  Happy Quilting.

Initial Heart Swap

This is what I received from my partner in the swap,what a lovely  little red work,at the bottom of the design is a little heart with my initial in it,some fat quarters,and OH yes candy.  This came from Teri in CA.  I want to thank Teri for this sweet little gift.
